Severus only has so many relaxing hobbies at all, to say nothing of relaxing hobbies he can do while trapped on an evil space ship. Cooking is something he can indulge in, and while it's occasionally frustrating given the restrictions on resources, it's still not as frustrating as everything else that's always going on.
