There are some holes in Darcy's logic. Like if it was Claire's call, she'd say something, and it's not as if they haven't seen each other at all, it's just been awkward and distant between them. Severus hasn't pressed her and Claire hasn't reached out, and if he doesn't know where he stands at least he's still standing.
